Canadian Admission Consultation Service

Visa Information

Admission to a school in Canada also requires you to apply for a Study Visa from the Canadian Government. You will need to apply for this separately through the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) website

Application to study in Canada – Study permits (cic.gc.ca)

This process can take several months so it is important to apply for a study visa as soon as you receive an offer of admission.

The documents you will need may include the following:

    1. Valid passport and proof of your identity
    2. Offer of admission letter from university
    3. Two passport photos
    4. Bank Statement showing you have funds to support your studies and living costs (usually $10,000 CAD plus tuition for first year of program)
    5. Additional information such as Biometrics or an interview may also be required, and the Canadian government will notify you to submit these

Make sure the program you apply to qualifies.
